Tips That Come In Handy

When it comes to shopping for some people it is a task that is hard to get done. Shopping is not easy for many, believe it or not. However, for those of us that have no problem picking up any and everything in the store and swiping a card, we just so happen to think nothing of it. Until you go home and realize that the cutest blouse you have ever seen in your life that you just HAD to buy only matches one thing in your closet. Now you need to force yourself to think a completely different way when shopping so that this doesn't happen again.

1. For what reasons or occasion are you purchasing clothes for? (don't be afraid to write it down and keep a list)
2. Categorize them. Make sure that whatever you purchase you can wear more than once for multiple occasions (casual and dressy). You will know if it's right when you do the following test.

TEST: Go into your closet and pick up a dressy top and pair it with casual bottoms. (khaki pants, denim, etc.) or switch it around and do a casual top with dressy pants. Either way you do it your outfits should work! *keep in mind that every single piece that you have is not going to match with everything you pair it with, but any piece that you have should fine with at least 2 pieces you mix and match it with. If it doesn't work at all then you have a MAJOR wardrobe problem.*

Many people walk into stores thinking "Oh I'm just going to pick up a _________ and a ___________ and that's it." But we all know what really happens. You end up walking out of the store with things you had no intention of purchasing.

*Tip: Being able to mix and match pieces can save you money! That's one less top you have to purchase to go with your new pants!*
